BW2221-Please tell us when "much of Poland" was in Muslim hands.And please tell us when.I am very curious about these events in European history.
The closest I could find were the Ottoman Empires incursions into the southern holdings of the then large Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

These areas of incursion do not comprise of ANY of modern day Poland,let alone "Much of Poland"
The map is of the height of Ottoman power.The very year the Polish king routed them at Vienna and prompted their decline.
Perhaps you're thinking of the Mongol wedge as far west as Poland and Germany?But they couldn't stay more than a year,and were far from being an Islamic army.(in fact there were more Christians)
