This is BS.

I have been to Chrenobyl/Pripyat twice as a newsie.

Much of this is anti-nuc BS.

The deserted appartment blocks are in Pripyat. Chernobyl is more of a "county" name. The V.I. Lenin Nuclear Power Station is out in the farm country, about 2km from Pripyat.

The other pctures depict typical life in rural Ukraine and Belarus. There are mentally retarded children throughout the former Societ Bloc... and the US. Ours are much better treated. The radiation leakage at Chernobyl/Pripyat did not cause this.

Cancer hospital #11 in Kiev (the children's oncology hospital) is a Dante's Inferno, but so is every hospital there.

This is not "mystery science". If you expose living things to radiation you get cancer, chromosome damage and exactly the effects that are visible.

Feel free to buy up all that cheap farm land. Don't let a little thing like a worst case scenario nuclear disaster scare you away.
