WCG, thanks for the ping-a-rooski.

Hated to see Jr lose the engine last race. That car looked great!

BTW, I had to call in sick Monday. Darndest thing, felt it coming on Sunday - about 1100 PST. :)

Forcast (as of this morning) does not look too promising for Richmond! It's early, though - hope it all clears out.

Hi all,

The racing weather lately sucks if I may say so.

Hey NY are you a Texan now?

What do you think about this LVM? It looks like it's from Jayski I got it elsewhere........but this rumor has been floating about a week now.

99-Dale Jarrett, the 1999 NASCAR Cup champion, is expected to help head up the company's [Toyota] 2007 entry into the series, agreeing to join Michael Waltrip Racing next season. Several sources have confirmed that Jarrett, 49, informed Robert Yates Racing officials of his decision April 26.

Junior's Journal entry.....

Wednesday, May 3
What’s up! Sorry I haven’t posted anything here lately.  I’ve been meaning to, but it’s been a crazy couple of weeks.  We hung out with a record-number crowd at Paducah International Raceway on April 14 (a lot of fun), went to California for an appearance with the Navy SEALS (also very cool), raced at Phoenix later that weekend, and then got ready for a busy week leading up to Talladega, which included my dad’s induction into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.  That was a huge honor for my family and everyone who considered themselves a fan of the 3.  I’d like to say thanks to all of the fans that helped honor my dad last week.  It was neat running his colors on the race track, but it was especially cool to see the way it was received by the fans.  The Hall of Fame ceremony itself was very special.  My whole family was there, as were all the members of the Flying Aces – my dad’s race team at Richard Childress Racing.  The Flying Aces actually rolled my dad’s car out, which was definitely the coolest part of the whole night.  I got out of my seat and shook their hands, all of them – Kirk Shelmerdine, Will Lind, David Smith, Danny Lawrence, Bobby Moody, Cecil Gordon, Jim Baldwin, Chocolate Myers and Bobby Hutchens.  Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News did the presentation honors and Teresa concluded the night with an acceptance speech on behalf of my father and our family.  It was a great night and a great weekend (aside from our finish in the race).  I hope all the fans got some enjoyment in seeing the black car on the race track.  Well, that’s it for now.  We have our final day of testing today at Charlotte, and I’m sure the guys are already waiting on me.  Y’all take it easy, and have a good weekend.  Junior.

I like Saturday night races. No guilt here when the weather has never been better and I'm we are getting caught up in the garden cleanup.

I'm going to need some help for my FRL picks from Jack...

Jack says he's ready willing and able to help with picks. I usually have to ask him to reconsider the Pedigree car though. :)

Also, if anyone has extra change please send it to Na$car it appers they need money........

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NASCAR announced today a total of 11 penalties that have been issued among five NASCAR Busch Series teams as a result of rule violations at Talladega Superspeedway.

Nathan Homick, a crew member for the No. 4 Dodge driven by Mark Green, was fined $5,000 and indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing; illegal possession of NASCAR seals). The violation was discovered during pre-qualifying inspection on April 28.
The crew chiefs for the No. 33 Chevrolet driven by Tony Stewart and the No. 77 Chevrolet driven by Burney Lamar were both fined and placed on probation for violating Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules: Section 20A-3.1.2: the forward facing flange of the rear spoiler did not maintain the specified thickness).

Walt Rogers, crew chief of the No. 33 and Gene Nead, crew chief of the No. 77, each received $10,000 fines and were placed on probation until December 31, 2006. The violations were found during pre-qualifying inspection on April 28.

Additionally, Stewart and Lamar will each lose 25 NASCAR Busch Series driver points and team owner DeLana Harvick will forfeit a total of 50 NASCAR Busch Series owner points, 25 points for each driver.

Also, Shane Wilson, crew chief for the No. 21 Chevrolet driven by Kevin Harvick, was fined $10,000 and placed on probation until December 31, 2006 for violation of Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q, Section 20-A-12.8.1E: rear quarter panel height did not meet the required specification – too low in post-race inspection. Harvick was penalized 25 driver points and Richard Childress lost 25 owner points due to the infractions.

And Tommy Perkins, crew chief for the No. 05 Chevrolet driven by Justin Ashburn, was fined $1,000 for violating Sections 12-4-A and 12-4-Q, Section 20-A-12.1A(8): unapproved jacking bolt – hollow bolt. The infraction was found during pre-qualifying inspection on April 28.
