That ambien is a knockout pill. You're supposed to take it right before you jump in bed.
I have Ambien and it doesn't work for me....I've actually lied in bed for hours waiting for it to take effect....

I haven't been in the Hawk in a few years, but I have had many meals there. Very good pub food - burgers, fish 'n chips, and the like. Good Sunday brunch too. It used to be one of the only decent places to eat on Capitol Hill, but now there are dozens of good pubs and restaurants, so the Hawk may have evolved into more of a straight bar than it used to be.

The most outrageous thing in this entire story is to have the higher-ups in the D.C. police *take care* of an MOC. Kennedy says something in his public statement as to how he didn't ask for special treatment ... duh. He doesn't need to ask, none of them do, it's yet another privilege of the office, the creeps.
If he took it and had been drinking too then he was intoxicated. The instructions clearly state that you should not drive nor mix it with alcohol. My guess is that the moron had already been on a "Kennedy" binge outing and then took the drug. Now he's lying about it--typical kennedy shallow end of the gene pool behavior.
