In the 1918 World Series vs the Chicago Cubs, Babe Ruth hurled a 6-hit shutout in Game 1. In Game 4, the Cubs scored their first run in the 8th inning to break Ruth's record string of 29 1/3 scoreless innings. Ruth's mark stood until 1961 when Whitey Ford broke it.

Babe was also a pitcher... how many strikeouts does bonds have?

123. His best season he had 17. He was fast in the early years, but obviously nothing like Bonds in that department!

Oh yeah, and Ruth was 94 - 46 as a pitcher (his .671 winning % is 12th on the all-time list).

...and his lifetime ERA is 2.27 (15th all-time).

Bonds was a better base stealer, you say? lol....ok, we'll give the pathetic junkie that stat.

"How many stolen bases did Babe Ruth have? Bonds has 500."

How many games did Bonds win as a pitcher? Ruth won 94. Ruth was the best pitcher in baseball in 1916, winning 20 games and leading the league in both ERA and shutouts. He would surely have won the Cy Young if it had existed then. He was also a twenty game winner in 1917.

Ruth is the only pitcher in major league history to have pitched in at least 10 seasons and had a winning record in all of them.

200 hit seasons: Babe Ruth - 3 / Barry Bonds: 0

For the record, Babe Ruth stole 123 bases, not bad at all for a man who spent his first 4 major league seasons as a pitcher and who was never given the green light to steal in those years. Had Ruth began his career as a hitter and not a Cy Young caliber pitcher, he would have hit about 125 more home runs. Give Ruth the steroids that the fraud Bonds has taken over the years and he'd probably have hit 1,000 home runs. Steroids make a huge difference, that's why these fraud athletes risk their health and their lives to take them.

Babe Ruth was beloved by fans. Bonds is a racist jerk hated by nearly everyone he comes into contact with.
