Again, it's the problem of the liberals trying to treat the conduct of war and detaining of POWs as in the nature of a criminal prosecution.

You are exactly correct. The real question is how do we remove this usurped power? It is really getting on my nerves! First the Moussaoui mess, now this. It is aggravating to have people side step the FACT that these people want us all dead and the US under islamic rule.

The only way I see to avoid this in the future is giving the order to take no prisoners.

The ongoing idea of having the left perceive our fight to remain free as some sort of law enforcement problem needs to stop. It is not a law enforcement issue. These people have openly and plainly declared war on the United States. The left must be brought to terms with the fact we are at war.

I'm no lawyer, but that sounds correct to me. Moreover, I would challenge their claim on a factual basis; everything I have heard about Guantanamo has said that special efforts have been made to cater to the religious beliefs of Muslims.
