Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) is filing a formal complaint with chamber officials regarding what he considers an “unethical” broadcast of an interview with him by a CNN reporter Tuesday.

ROLL CALL reports: In an incident that could have repercussions for TV journalists’ access to the chamber, Stevens is furious with CNN correspondent Joe Johns for an interview conducted outside the weekly GOP policy luncheons, but far away from the usual bank of TV cameras set up for such interviews next to the storied Ohio Clock.

It would help if Stevens didn't have so much to hide. Light doesn't become him.

If you open your mouth and jibber jabber...it's your own fault.

Anyway, if I was a Senator from Alaska, all I would be saying is that the country is suffering without my state's oil......and why does Congress always impose hardships on the American people.

Exactly.

Every single time I saw a microphone.

"I had not idea that highly poisonous pit viper was going to bite me when I put it in my pants!"

Hey, guy. It's CNN! What were you thinking?

In more ways than one --

Stevens to David Schippers: "I don't care if he raped a woman on the White House lawn, stood up and shot her. We're not removing him from office."

The McKinney 'you can't use that tape if I wasn't sitting in this chair' defense.

There are established rules for media behavior in this building. It does not serve the public interest to have Senators being ambushed in the hallways.

Frankly, I hope the Senate hands CNN their collective ass over this one.

I'm looking at this one like a Raiders/Broncos game. I don't care who wins, as long as one of them loses.

Thanks, I'd forgotten who said that.

Come on, everyone secretly loves the Raiders. They changed modern sports.

Now the only reason that I don't hate the Broncos entirely is because I have met a few of their fans.

I'll bet a dollar you are a KC fan.

As Henry Kissinger famously said of the Iran/Iraq War, "It's a shame they can't both lose..."
