I love the smell of rotting RINOS in the morning.

RINOs translate into GOP committee chairmanships and committee majorities, which makes a huge difference.

Excellent point. Even a RINO gives more power to Republican Conservatives than a Democrat does. Unless it's Arlen Specter.

Hillary will not win the primary for the Dems, they don't want her any more than we do. I will tell you Jim that either McCain or G will not be better different than Hillary. McCain especially is a fruitloop and he will send us down a path of destruction that is worse than the one we are on. I do not think Hillary will get the bid but if she does then I will have to rethink my postiion on 3rd party voting.

However, the only way we are ever going to make these idiot republican politicians wake up the the fact that they are not liberals is to clean house.

Show me the republican conservatives and I will vote for them.

Conservatives put up with a lot from RINO's. Sometimes, if the RINO represetnts a Democrat-leaning constituancy, it's from political expediency.

But on border security, the conservative grass roots is putting its foot down.

The GOP needs to know there are two parts to the equation, big business with money and voters with votes. Grassroots voters can beat money when they put forth a big effort.

The GOP needs to withhold money from traitors up for reelection and give it to up and coming conservatives.

The President and Congress needs to be reminded they are on a team and they need to be a team players to accomplish team goals. They need to dance with those that brought them to the ball, If they don't agree on major issues, they should change teams.

Both parties need to be reminded that while we are a Republic, to go against a clear majority means to loose.

Coalitions with common goals like in Iraq can come together to defeat the status quo. Look at how African Americans and the AFL-CIO are positioning themselves on illegal immigration. Issues that have profound effects will always supersede smaller less impacting issues.Illegal immigration and amnesty or legalization may change the course of this nation. I have seen no town hall meetings or public debate on this important issue. Why?Because they are trying to cram it down our throats as they know if what they are trying to do reaches daylight and is exposed they will all be seen for what they are -self serving sellouts,

The GOP is missing the largest opportunity of our lifetimes to grab the majority and annihilate the liberals, Instead by trying to woo the wrong people and going contrary to their principles, they are risking their own annihilation.

The power of a third party or group with major discontent with a party is that their votes and money (power)can spoil the game for one of the other parties. It's like a Police Officers gun, it is there for defense, but if the bad guys know they will never use it it has no power of deterrence.

The GOP needs to know the base and the majority are not afraid to wield their power.(not literally) I am not for giving dems anything, but there is a point where if "warning shots" are fired (as now) and the GOP still refuses to yield, it maybe time to use that power. It is certainly time to remind them in no uncertain terms that WE the PEOPLE have that power and let them know/think that we are not afraid to use it. If they don't think it will be used it is worthless and will change nothing. Is the base bluffing as in poker? Are they willing to go all in and risk losing to gain what they want? Ask the first President Bush what he thinks about calling bluffs...no one knows what someone else will do in that voting booth behind a curtain....those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it...

The GOP leadership needs to take a walk over to the Senate and to the WH this week and have a real heart to heart talk with those who have R's after their names while they still can.

Folks in the Houston area don't like crooks regardless of party affiliation.

That was uncalled for, DeLay has not been convicted of anything.

(... and I'm still bloody pissed about the whole thing!)

Don't kid yourself. Hillary would immediately give full citizenship (complete with Democrat voting card) to every illegal alien and anyone else asking. She'd do it before 2008 if she could possibly get away with it. Then after the Democrats are swept into office, she'd guarantee a permanent Marxist government by getting an amendment passed that abolishes the Electoral College (she's already pushing for it). It'd be goodbye America.

Those who wonder how Democrats could possibly be worse are likely to find out.

And it won't be pretty

My number one priority is to weed out RINOs, not maintaining politcal power.

That's called going over the cliff with all flags flying. I'm sure you've heard this before, but the time to fight for the best candidate is during the primaries. Then when the general election comes, it's time to make the best available choice.

As Rush says, Republicans do better than when they run as conservatives.

Did Rush advocate staying home when Specter ran for reelectoin in PA? GWB campaigned for him? Should we have not voted for the RINO GWB?

I'd argue even IF it's Arlen Specter. How has Arlen voted on nominations such as Bolton, or Roberts, or Alito, or watch how he votes on Hayden. Has he voted against ANY of them?

I just forwarded this thread to Ken Mehlman.

I also replied to his hilarious e-mail asking for money to support the RNC in it's efforts regarding illegal immigration. The letter from the RNC opens with this statement: "Our immigration system is broken. And we need your help to fix it".

My reply explained that NO- he didn't need OUR help to fix it- we need the RNC's help to enforce the EXISITING LAWS- and that the failure of Republicans in the Senate to pass Ensign is inexcusable.

And I also want to highlight that a RINO gives power to ALL conservatives, by helping to maintain party majority. ALL committee chairmanships rely on majority control, and every RINO, even old Lincoln Chafee, stands between the DEMs and the power that majority control brings. That's across the board--judiciary committe, budget, intel, etc.

You sound like you're from Boston. Nice accent.

??? Nope, not from Boston nor within 2000 miles of that seaboard. What does that have to do with anything?

This is where the GOP has to make changes!! Kudos to the conservatives who are working to make the GOP true to the cause!

Better than sitting out the election in November and handing the congress over to the 'rats!!

You vote for RINOs, you get more RINOs....

I don't believe that's true. Do you think voting for Specter in PA, once he's won the primary, makes Alabamians want to dump Jeff Sessions? I seriously doubt it.

Here's something inarguable: Every time a RINO wins, a DEM loses. Now, if you can explain why, given the choice between a DEM and a RINO, I should vote for the DEM, I'd like to hear it.

I was being a little bit facetious. That guy is one of the worst of them out there and, were he my senator, I might actually be willing to vote Democrat, just to get rid of him.

(But instead, I'm in New York and have no representation in the Senate at all)
