Conservatives, nationwide are getting angry about the loss of principle by GOP'ers in office. Big spending in Washington and Sacramento. The inability to control illegal aliens. Failure to protect jobs and the failure to stop the social agenda of liberals in our schools in finally causing conservatives to say NO to GOP incumbents, even if it means we could lose seats in a legislative body. The thought is simple, why protect a Republican running for office if their voting record will differ little from the Democrats.
In Utah, GOP Congressman Chris Cannon could not win his Parties endorsement for re-election--his opponent got more votes in Convention then he did.
In Nebraska, Congressman tom Osborne, and legend in the state, was defeated for the nomination for Governor due to his weak stand on illegal aliens.
In Heardon, Virginia, five incumbent city council members lost re-election due to their creation of a "Day Labor Center" for illegal aliens.
In the California 50th Congressional District Special Election, the Democrat is ahead of the Republican, since the Republican has been portrayed as more liberal than many Democrats--has even supported Democrats in the past.
But, Pennsylvania last Tuesday should have been the two by four to every GOP candidate and office holder in the nation.At least 14 incumbent GOP office holders, including the top two in the State Senate were defeated in a Republican primary, by Republicans. The good news is that if they had not been defeated, many GOP voters would have stayed home in November. This is a lesson for us in California, and the nation, GOP voters have had enough of Republicans acting like Democrats. Our candidates need to stand for GOP principles, then vote and govern that way once in office.
No longer will GOP voters settle for, "well at least they have a "R" after their name." There is a revolt going on in GOP ranks and it is moving across the nation.
True, but not far enough. One of the problems we've had here in Pennsylvania is that the Republican party hierarchy constantly messes with the primaries to try to ensure their anointed candidates win. This is anathema to many of us, who oddly enough think that the primaries are our time to choose the candidates for the general election. So I say, defeat RINOs in the primaries, but also make sure that you know who you're voting for for the state committee posts (usually voted on at primary time) and make sure they're committed, principled conservatives, not part of the mine-by-divine-right party elite.
You are assuming he is in Clinton's league. I don't believe that is the case. If he is the person who appears to be the most conservative then I will vote for him. We are past the time when we can hope for the perfect candidate. We must pick one who will listen to America's conservative base.
Of course she would. Her best chance at the White House will be if the illegals get to vote. I KNOW the RATS have been signing illegals up every single chance they get, and there's no doubt in my mind that many illegals will be allowed to vote, using the same tactics that were used in the last couple of races. We are in 100% agreement about her, and the rest of the RATS. Why did you think we weren't? I personally would crawl across the city on broken glass to get to the polls so I could vote against her. Let's just hope there's a true conservative running against the RATS that will bring other conservatives back to the polls.
If the election comes down to Hillary, McCain, or Joe Schmoe, I'm voting for Schmoe.

What's the difference between the New Majority (RINO driven moderate) movement (with many of the same Main Street Partnership perps represented in both) and a New Moronity?

I guess they haven't made the same inroads in your state as they have in many others ... I , for one, am well aware of what moderates have "delivered" us and bound us to as well issues-wise the last few years.
I know he has not been convicted (yet) but if he has nothing to hide, why did he drop out of the race? If I'm innocent, I'm gonna fight like heck and let the world know that I've been railroaded for political gain by those who oppose me.
I do not discount all the good he did for the Conservative cause. I just wish he'd never gotten in bed with Jack Abramhoff. As I've said before; plant 20 acres of wheat and in the center of it, plant 5 acres of stink weed. The 20 acres of wheat does not offset the 5 acres of stink weed.

It's nice when people take interest. But it's great when they take action. This is a good thing.

What I'd REALLY like to see is a credible opposition party, but that doesn't seem to happen. Most countries seem to have at least one socialist party. Which sort of narrows down the options.
As for Specter, he's WAY better than a DEM. Look at all the party line votes on the judiciary committee.

Primaries are the appropriate place for this sort of housecleaning. Hopefully, all the talk about conservatives staying home in the fall is MSM wishful thinking, or just the spleen-venting of justifiably frustrated conservative voters. Then again, when are we not justifiably frustrated?
Wrong question. Voting for a President who supports Specter over Toomey in the primary is the problem. Granted, we all *thought* he was a conservative, so there we go.

Not really. I think even his critics--and I'm no bot--must admit GWB has for the most part done exactly the things he said he would do. Even the abhorrent stuff. His immigration policy is exactly what he described way back in 2000. His stupid medicare bill was promised as far back as 99. The only area where he really contradicted his campaign promises was on foreign policy. He was supposedly opposed to nation building, but somehow, ragheads blowing up buildings in NYC and DC magically made nation building sensible. But besides that, he's been just what he said he'd be.
I'm going to use my rental car discount next weekend. I like to wear my NRA cap to the mall: I'm like Moses parting the Red Sea through the kids with baggy pants, and the university people practically making the `sign of the cross' at me! :-)
Btw, drove by my (ex) favorite Mexican restaurant ten minutes ago. Newspaper had article about how they closed May day, etc.
Usually at dinner-time Sat night, their parking lot is overflow. There were about 6 cars in the lot . . . .
