14 GOP INCUMBENTS DEFEATED IN PRIMARY

Conservatives, nationwide are getting angry about the loss of principle by GOP'ers in office. Big spending in Washington and Sacramento. The inability to control illegal aliens. Failure to protect jobs and the failure to stop the social agenda of liberals in our schools in finally causing conservatives to say NO to GOP incumbents, even if it means we could lose seats in a legislative body. The thought is simple, why protect a Republican running for office if their voting record will differ little from the Democrats.

In Utah, GOP Congressman Chris Cannon could not win his Parties endorsement for re-election--his opponent got more votes in Convention then he did.

In Nebraska, Congressman tom Osborne, and legend in the state, was defeated for the nomination for Governor due to his weak stand on illegal aliens.

In Heardon, Virginia, five incumbent city council members lost re-election due to their creation of a "Day Labor Center" for illegal aliens.

In the California 50th Congressional District Special Election, the Democrat is ahead of the Republican, since the Republican has been portrayed as more liberal than many Democrats--has even supported Democrats in the past.

But, Pennsylvania last Tuesday should have been the two by four to every GOP candidate and office holder in the nation. At least 14 incumbent GOP office holders, including the top two in the State Senate were defeated in a Republican primary, by Republicans. The good news is that if they had not been defeated, many GOP voters would have stayed home in November. This is a lesson for us in California, and the nation, GOP voters have had enough of Republicans acting like Democrats. Our candidates need to stand for GOP principles, then vote and govern that way once in office.

No longer will GOP voters settle for, "well at least they have a "R" after their name." There is a revolt going on in GOP ranks and it is moving across the nation.

In many ways, I think freedom would be safer with the Democrats holding 51 seats in the Senate than with a mixture of RINOs and Republicans holding 51 seats. Even if the Democrats have a 51-seat majority, that would hardly guarantee passage of everything the Democrat leadership wants. Instead, individual Democrat Senators would start playing games the way Chafee, McCain, et al. do.

I believe that THE RINOS would vote WITH the DIMRATS to rush us into the global government.

And, I think that the DIMRATS are sooooo much more lawless, haughty, arrogant, power hungry . . . that they would quickly assume there were NO BOUNDS OR LIMITS on their greed and power and they would go sky-west-&-crooked gleefully peddle to the metal to the global government.

Look how brazen they are NOW! Multiply that many times over if they get MORE in power again.

They are too arrogant to think that the more or less righteous and patriotic of us would hinder them much at all. They assume that they are in control of enough institutions of the USA that they can get away with wholesale murder, martial law and doing whatever they d**n well please. They see Klintoon's years as proving that. And they expect to be able to go well beyond that the next time they are in power.

"Thank God that some people 'get it'."

Yep. And that folks like you can help them on the way! (And, on a personal note, that folks like you think to bring heaters to -100o freeps in a windy downtown canyon! I'll always remember & always be grateful for that, BBR!)

Does that in any way explain why perhaps some conservatives are not supporting conservative candidates, esp. here on FR? It's a stretch, but otherwise I just do not understand the repeated posts against conservative candidates. Sheesh!!!

Of course, there's the simpler explanation, that FR is broken out with RINO as well as DU posters.

There are plenty of RINOs on FR, as anyplace. If the Senate gets down to 49 Republicans because it lost six conservatives while keeping all the RINOs that would be bad. But if it lost six RINOs and kept all the conservatives, that would be an improvement.

OMG!

That's almost 6 years ago now. Do you know that I still have all of those signs? They are part of history. There's been a lot of FReeps since then, but thank God we never needed heaters again.

You are exactly right.

I don't understand why, with the 55 / 45 majority that we hold, we can't get anything done, but some fear that with a Dem lead of 51 / 49, the Dems will be able to do everything that they want.

The GOP Incumbents that were defeated here in PA were beaten by more conservative candidates.

I hope the same can be said for the other states.
