Who out there believes that an American who wishes to defend his country from foreign invasion is not a patriot but is a racist and a bigot?

I'll tell you who that is; it is a traitor.

With their get tough on immigrants stance, Republicans have blown an opportunity to guarantee a GOP majority in perpetuity..

What a bargain.

The GOP could have been presiding in perpetuity over a declining third world nation whereby 60-70 percent of its citizens would be poor, unskilled anarchists attempting to turn the nation into Mexico North.

I'm mostly holding my breath for now.
To see if Dubya will actually sign a "comprehensive immigration bill"
that includes AMNESTY for ILLEGALS that committed IDENTITY THEFT...
a crime that would land any legal resident or citizen into the slammer.

....or as long as this country lasts with a couple hundred million indigents coming across the border. Your mileage may vary.

This is a nice development. With articles like this the liberal scum in the rat media will start to push the rat into making statements and taking some kind of stand on the issue. Since they are wrong about everything there is no reason to think they won't be wrong on this as well. That will help us for sure.

...dismay over the illegal aliens—a term that makes it sound as if the country were being invaded by Martians.

Writer is an obtuse dummy; in English, words have more than one meaning. Permit us to use them. Mind-control libs would ban certain words if they could.

Joe Klein is an idiot or a liberal. Or both.

I read yesterday, somewhere, that the Senate had either included in it's immigration reform bill or in another proposed bill, that LEGAL immigration quotas were to be increased dramatically - to the tune of at least 100 million (some estimates are higher), over 20 years. If the majority of these legal immigants come from the third world then the demographics of the USA will change big time and so will we. I look towards Europe and shudder. Like communism, multi-culturism is a utopian dream and we are just not ready for it. IMO

There is a misconception that the President and Congress are divided . Another possibility exists namely all are playing in concert their predetermined roles.

The illlegals issue can destroy the majorities and everybody knows that.

The House is most vulnerable and all who need be can be on record for strong enforcement. The Senate can afford some dissention and allow members some leeway during the debate to fine tune what ever they need.

The President can take take the high ground.

Althought the final product is not precisely predestined, the main points are. The plan is being worked out before our eyes.
