Idaho: Bill Sali Wins GOP Primary for Otter's Seat

This was a big race, folks. Sali defeated pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, tax-hiking RINO Sheila Sorensen. This was a huge victory for the Club for Growth. The five conservatives in the race did not split the vote enough for the RINO to win.

Canyon county hasn't reported according to the secretary of states' website, which is where Vasquez spent all his time and nearly all his money (for whatever reason.)

Sali clearly has won, but I still hold out hope that Vasquez can finish second or above Sorensen.

I think Vasquez is a county commissioner in Canyon County. He was probably spending money where his base would come out and support him. I'm pleased to see Sali succeed tonight. He would be a fine replacement for Butch Otter.

As expect the Canyon county votes are coming in and Vasquez has done by far the best there, improving him to second place and above RINO Sorensen. Good.

We didn't get our guy, Robert Vasquez, in the GOP primary, but he placed 2nd (as of this posting) in this big field, a very respectable showing. Bill Sali, the most reviled of the bunch by the left (and regarded as the most Conservative), took the nomination.

RINO herds in Idaho were observed this morning in deep depression and disarray. Sali's win was a MAJOR win for movement conservatives. He is one of us, an activist willing to publicly confront the Republican establishment -- exactly what we need about a hundred more of in the U.S. House of Representatives. Urge all Freepers, including those who supported Robert, to just as enthusiastically rally behind Sali and help make sure he doesn't fall prey this November to "Republicans for Grant (the Demo nominee)"...something which prominent lib Repubs are no doubt today seriously contemplating. (Being active in Idaho Repub politics for 20 years before moving to MI, I know Sali and all these guys personally.)

I'm comfortable with the results. Bill Sali is the solid favorite, though not assured of victory.

Whatever negatives now are pointless. It's either Sali or another 'Rat vote for Pelosi for Speaker.
