I would also suggest that the separation of Church and State was not intended to expel religiosity from the State either. Church control, yes, but not religion itself, as the ACLU and the secularists spin it.

I will confess to confusion inside my own mind about exactly where and how the line should be drawn. Clearly, the current state of affairs is quite absurd---where we can't even put up Christmas decorations at Christmas on the street.
Probably, conservatives need two things here. 1) Some really excellent thinkers to figure out exactly where the line should be drawn.
2) a funded group of skilled lawyers to defend people who do ordinary things like putting up Christmas decorations. Fortunately, we do have such a group operating at least to an extent (can't remember what they're called.)
