I read this.

It sounds very suspiciously of "recovered memory."

Didn't see it anywhere, but it smells like it.

Why would the catholic church pay this guy 33K? Out of the goodness of its heart?

Amazon site for "Windswept House" by Malachi Martin.

His book basically verifies the possibility of this story.

Because the claims of the molestation are probably credible. As far as the killings and other accusations, no one knows at this point because the priest being accused is conveniently dead.

No. Avoid litigation.

Apparently the catholic church itself thinks there is a possibility that this story is true.

Self serving? I would stand on the side of the truth, not on the side of money. But that's me. I agree though, that the abuse allegations are true and that is why they paid him off. Don't you think?

The molestation may have occurred, but I have a lot of experience with people who were subjected to "recovered memory" and invariably, the memory of the molestation becomes embellished through the clinicians use of hypnosis and other techniques.

Any time I run into the Satanic aspect, I question it.

Besides, if a homocide did occur, shouldn't the police be actively working the case?

"Lucifer's plan is unveiled: to penetrate the Church hierarchy and eventually the Holy See itself with corrupt priests. They are bent on merging with economic and ethical universalists in the public arena, but their true agenda is the ascension of Satan and the annihilation of humankind."

There are times such as today after watching the Senate vote to create a framework to comprehensively twist the cultural of the United States into something unrecognizable with incalculable future effects on what government can and can't do that I can believe Lucifer and his minions are loose upon the earth.

Of course, unless the church is trying to cover it up. Maybe that is why they are trying to avoid litigation, as you say. Maybe they don't want the publicity. But if someone made some horrible false accusation against me, I would gladly go public with it in order to clear my good name.

If this is some planted memory or false retrieved memory, that shouldnt be hard to prove with a good lawyer and an even better psychologist. I say, bring on the litigation. The catholic church says: Here's some money, now shut up about it.

Rev 12:9: and the dragon, the original serpent, the one called Satan the Devil, was hurled down to the earth, and his demons were hurled down with him...and woe to the earth and to the sea, for the Devil has come down to you having great anger.....

I hope it never happens to you. There are people sitting unjustly in prison today who were convicted on the evidence of recovered memory.

Hmmm. Name one.

If this story is false, won't God bear this fact out for your One true Church? Why pay off a liar?

The police say they haven't records of missing persons (or found bodies, I suppose) that might match the murder stories.

Given the enormity of the priest's supposed offences, the Australian RC Church gets off dirt cheap.

33 thousand is dirt cheap? Wow. Maybe I should make up a few allegations against the church and get me some of that dirt cheap money.
