Recently our city spent millions of dollars building a beautiful park with lakes, concert arena, etc. It is on the far edge of town, all the way across the city from the bangers, illegals, etc.

It has been finished about 2 wks now, grand opening, concert, etc. Exactly one wk later it has been tagged everywhere, trash thrown everywhere, and they had to do a water test because of all the baby diapers in the lakes. I thought I was gonna die laughing when I saw it on the news. We were watching the "grand opening" on tv and my hubby says......give it one week and it will be trashed.

Americans can be a part of this movement if they join in and not build a wall of separation."

Uh, most Americans don't want to be part of your movement...

That about sums it up at this time.

It is no longer the Industrial Revolutionary period in our nation's history. It is the technological age. We don't need uneducated masses to work in the coal mines, the railroads, or manufacturing plants. Those days are long gone and so are most of those jobs. The country needs to compete in the 21st century with the best and the brightest forging the way in technological development and entrepreneurship. Again, the INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION IS OVER. The US needs to adapt it's immigration policy accordingly.

"Your position (IMHO) is national suicide. The world is going to engulf and destroy a "walled off" USofA. Already manufacturing is leaving, agriculture is next. American Capitalism is going "overseas". Americans can be a part of this movement if they join in and not build a wall of separation."

You're describing the second head of a two-headed snake. Big business and big money are now running the Republican party, not the grassroots party faithful. The big money grubbers are destroying America's working class by whatever means they can, whether it's importing cheap labor, or exporting the jobs to where they can get slave labor and escape the taxes and laws they have to pay and obey here at home. And their greedy corrupt paid-off politicians are allowing them to get away with it. I used to believe that the Republican party was the party looking out for the interests of the little guy. They have finally shown me I was wrong. They are bought and paid for. The only thing they want me to do is shut up, don't bother them, but send them money and go out and work for their re-election. Sorry guys, find another sucker.

So the polls you are basing this statement on..."Current info is that by an overwhelmomng majority, most Republicans REJECT the Senate Immigration Bill, and the message is getting through loud and clear to returning Republican congressmen." don't really exist? Interesting that the Senate vote turned out like it did. Either the Senators who voted "yes" are ignoring their voters, or they voted in response to what they are actually hearing from their constituents and not relying on internet blogs. Now, since the typical Senator's first priority is to keep himself in office, for some reason I don't think they are voting in such a way as to ensure they'll be thrown out of office.

"Doesn't Filner represent Chula Vista a northern TJ suburb?"

Yes, Filner represents Chula Vista, the "Pride of the South Bay". But as long as we have our version of the "Berlin Wall" we're still soildly in the United States. Check out the map of his district. It's no wonder he keeps getting reelected.

"Could you explain to me the fallacy of that argument? "

You are equating participation in the world economy with open boarders.
That is simply not correct.

"I then said, "And all three of those countries have a very healthy and large immigrant population." That isn't an argument. It is a statement"

Those countries have LEGAL immigrants, who they chose themselves, and didn't have walk in through the bush into their countries.
And most of those legal immigrants are very highly educated, very highly skilled individuals.
Heck America is a country of immigrants, but its got to be LEGAL immigrants, and WE have to chose who comes into our country, not the Mexican movement.
How hard is that to understand?

I still find it hard to believe that 95% of all murder warrants are of illegal aliens in the LA area.
Am I supposed to believe that white trailer trash, black gangsters like the Crips and Bloods as WELL as the millions of LEGAL Mexicans in that area don't kill people?

"You are equating participation in the world economy with open boarders."

Not only am I not doing that, I haven't even mentioned "open boarders". Or even "open borders". Which, by the way, we don't have.

"And most of those legal immigrants are very highly educated, very highly skilled individuals."

You are just making stuff up aren't you? Most of those legal immigrants are house cleaners and nannies. End of story.

Your position (IMHO) is national suicide. The world is going to engulf and destroy a "walled off" USofA. Already manufacturing is leaving, agriculture is next. American Capitalism is going "overseas". Americans can be a part of this movement if they join in and not build a wall of separation.

Please clarify your position. Are you saying the USA is doomed unless we allow the inflow of people in limitless numbers, regardless of skills, literacy, education, poverty, criminality, or health? With illegal immigration, that's what we have at the moment. Would you just like to make it official policy?
