Queens College First Hand Freeper Report (Alan Hevesi Shooting Remark)
June 1, 2006 | TFine80

Posted on 06/01/2006 12:46:39 PM PDT by TFine80

I was at the Queens College Commencement this morning, and I saw the whole thing occur. I also called up the Post and spoke to a reporter immediately afterwards -- so it's possible that I helped trigger this.

The context was this. There were lots of Democrat politicians there: Schumer, Hevesi, Jay Hershenson (CUNY Vice Chancellor), and Helen Marshall (Queens Borough President). Schumer spoke first, and they were all patting each other on the back, saying how great they all were and how important it was that graduates vote in the future. A few other not-so-subtle digs on Bush and Pataki, but nothing major. Hevesi gets up and gives a normal speech, and towards the end begins talking about how great Schumer is. Then he said -- and I quote because I immediately wrote it down -- Schumer would "put a bullet between the President's eyes if he could get away with it." There were a fair number of gasps, but then of course some people are pretty oblivious at these types of events. It slightly seemed that he caught himself and then said, "Well, he's a really tough guy" or something along those lines -- trying to put the remark in context.

I immediately called the Post and spoke to a reporter, and when I got back from the ceremony today saw that the AP was covering it.

If they receive any taxpayer money at all, they should release this information.

Queens College is part of the City University of New York -- a public college that is heavily subsidized with tax dollars.

Or 4) the comment is ordinary daily repartee among Dem politicians.

My take is that he heard this from someone else. It is NOT an off the cuff remark.

Best Guess?? Hillary. It's certainly Hillary's sense of humor. Just like her plantation remark, her gas station remark and let's not forget her f'n Jew remark, Marcy Park, Brown, the famed kiss for Arafat's wife......I think Hillary just plain doesn't think!!

Your answer is probably the most likely.

Queens Ping! I love Queens. It was my home for 29 of my 32 years of life. Bayside to be exact

----------------------------------------------

Born in Middle Village over half a century ago. Grew up in Massapequa but have lived with one foot in Nassau and one in Queens for my entire adult life....Great Neck now. One daughter is in her third year at Queens College.

I think Queens is way under-rated and if anyone wants to see what middle-America will look like in fifteen years let him spend a day walking from one end of Northern Blvd to the other.

btw...Hevesi called and apologized to me personally within a half hour of my lodging a protest in his Albany office.

Well, your husband should be notified that (I hope) there will be a vacancy soon!

But, I imagine that most New Yorkers will just yawn and shrug it off.

I'm in the midWest and I'm outraged at this jerk.

Hevesi called and apologized to me personally...

So what? Has he apologized to the President yet? He sounds like a teen aged girl who makes outrageous comments and ends with, "Just kidding!" He should have outgrown this tendency at 16.

but, more seioursly, his comments defame Sen. Schumer and pose a real danger to our President.

Trent Lott lost his job for far less.

"he will never resign."

Got that right oceanview. Only Republicans/Conservatives are REQUIRED to resign. I truly believe that is the major difference in the left and right once they get elected. They both pander to their base with enough carrots to the middle but once they are elected all bets are off.

When they get caught, the left just makes excuses for their crooks while the right demands resignation for their own.

Hevesi should resign immediately. Then he should be investigated. This should happen now! What he said is abominable. We arrest people and throw them in the slammer for far less.

Bill Beck said today that if this guy Hevesi is NY State Comptroller, you all better watch out and see where your money is going!!!

And that was from a liberal.

I learned about the Hevesi remark in a most unusual, perhaps shocking way. I was at the NY Republican State Convention in Garden City. Please read the following.
__________________________________________________________
Remarks by J. Christopher Callaghan at the State GOP Convention (his acceptance speech as GOP nominee for State Comptroller AGAINST Hevesi this November).

Chairman Minarik, county chairs, state committeemen, fellow Republicans: Thank you for your confidence, thank you for your encouragement, thank you for your nomination.

Just before I came up here – I was told something very disturbing by the press that shocked me.

Just 3 hours ago and just 10 miles from here – Alan Hevesi, at a college commencement, talked about putting a bullet through the eyes of the President of the United States.

Threats against the President are no joke and this incident raises real questions about Alan Hevesi’s fitness to hold any public office.
________________________________________________________

This is NOT the only reason to retire Hevesi, but it sure is a good one. A total piece of garbage is the best way to describe him. How people could choose him over FASO in 2002 for Comptroller is beyond me.

And remember this. If a man called an African American the N-word, and then he apologized, the offended person might forgive him. But he would NEVER forget that it happened!

Are you listening Mr. Hevesi?

What can we expect if even such a fervent Republican as Sean Hannity rushed immediately to "get points" of Republican magnanimity by excusing that moron Hevesi!
Interestingly enough, a professional Bush-basher Elli Henican have found nothing more smarter than to say that Republicans "also called Clinton a rapist, a corrupted person" as if calling "a rapist" is the same as pointing gun between President's eyes. And NO ONE presented at this stupid dispute on Hannity and Colmes managed to mention that these are two quite different things!
It's already "normal" (well, still not for me) that Dems manage to pervert everything, like the same Ellis who calmly calls traitors "patriots" (sure, how they can call Hanoi Jane and John Kerry otherwise!?). But it offends me very much when Republicans are betraying Republican ideals.

Republicans have to get fire in their belly. The Demos - such as Henican - are just vicious and nasty. Henican called the supporters of the family of Elio Gonzalez in Miami "hooligans" and hoods while the real hoods were Janet Reno's raiders. Henican drank the Kool Aide a long time ago. Hevesi was clearly calling for an act of violence. And Clinton is a rapist.

If I understood you properly, we - you and I - don't have different standpoints as of filthy nature of many Dems, like Ellis Henican, Alan Hevesi, duck Clinton, and, unfortunately, tons of others.
A lot more general and important problem - as I perceive it - is that Republicans are seemingly doing nothing to:
1. take seriously an ideological war Dems started against Republicans, beginning from the very elementary education (who on Earth besides Libs can hit upon an idea to teach my 5-6-year old grandchildren love pederasty, use condoms, and hate Christmas but praise Moslems?!)
2. fight against perversion of our Constitution (since when the Right of Speech is covering treason, slander, lechery, and propagation of anti-American ideologies?)
3. preserve our country from invasion of millions of those who are waving foreign flags with Che Guevara, Sickle-and-Hammer, slogans "Marxism", "We didn't cross borders - Borders crossed us" (such a impudence!), and demanding "ALL RIGHTS" and support for their nonstop propagation under pretext that they - presumably - pay taxes (from $5/h cash? Give me a break: they came here to send money back to their families in their countries, as Senators say, n'est ce pas? What they will send if they spent it here for taxes - Senators' words, not mine - or purchasing - Rebecca Gomez' words, not mine - ah?)
