Tony Strickland is running for Controller against the little-known Democrat John Chiang, and Chuck Poochigian faces, in the Attorney General's race, the well-known (for good and for ill) Jerry Brown, former two-term governor, three-time presidential candidate, and two-term mayor of Oakland. The office Brown is now seeking was the same one his father, Pat Brown, held before he was elected Governor in 1958.
