Boston Window Washer Fired After Killing Sea Gull

Sea gulls are predators. These birds can strike savagely and have strong beaks. Coming at you in a full drive they have the weight to damage you severely. You are lucky if you aren't cut up on the head, face, ears or eyes. I rescued a wounded gull one time that a hunter had deliberately wounded when I was in the border Patrol. The $%#^% thing nearly took out my eye.

Finally clamped down on my finger with its vise of a beak and held on while we took it to an animal shelter. Never again.

That is totally different. Killing a seagull is bad luck for sailors. :)

So anyway, this game warden catches this disheveled guy on the beach with a campfire and a bird roasting over it. There are seagull feathers all over. The game warden explains to the guy that it is illegal to kill Seagulls and he is going to have to write a citation.

The guy explains that he was starving and the seagull was very lame, so he thought he'd kill two "birds" with one stone by killing it and getting himself a hot meal.

Having pity on the starving man, the warden gave him a stern warning and started to walk away. But suddenly he turned around and asked the man, "My curiosity is killing me. I've always wondered - What does seagull taste like."

The man furled his brow thoughtfully for a moment and finally said, "It's sort of a cross between Spotted Owl and Bald Eagle."

They can't burp. You'll see red from their exploded crop in an hour.

I had my own run-ins with the critters at Presidio of Monterey doing repairs to a clinic. These are the most hateful creatures in the world once they are after you. I required stitches on my temple due to an attack. Happy to see them dead.
