Can somebody explain to me why some of thousands of unused trailer homes sent to Louisiana and Mississippi by FEMA, can't be moved to this base so our servicepeople can keep their families together?

The answer defies logic.

You want to live in a 22 foot trailer with 3 kids for 4 years? Near as I can tell, the FEMA RVs have no tip outs - pretty tight living.

That said, if it were me I would purchase a nice park model (say a 35 footer) with multiple tip outs and plan on using some outside (shed) storage. At the end of your tour, you would still have an RV to travel with.

BTW, Keesler is not a bad assignment, if you have family & like to do stuff like dive, snorkel, sail, etc.
