Why is he running away from the Bush policy he has supported (until he was forced in a runoff?) I thought this policy is what the American people want?
I hear that all the time from fellow freepers. What now he's running away from it.

That's the thrust of his ads. If you don't listen carefully or aren't fully informed, the image you're left with is of Cannon astride a prancing white steed riding up and down along the border like a latter day Charles Martel keeping the hordes at bay.

If you listen carefully and are informed you realize that his ads are very cleverly--deceptively--structured to give him deniability as to his apparent intentions.
