"We have a curious situation in American where the religious right... really do believe they are in possession of absolute truths.... Our number one threat abroad is fundamentalism, absolutism. Terror is their tactic, but it is their ideas, their hatred, their absolute certainty that they are so right that they can kill people who disagree with them -- that is our enemy."HEAR bill clinton

I forgot the quotation marks in 19. See corrected repost (#21).
The clintons fear the Religious Right politically, so they want to defeat them; they want to quash them. They are doing this by equating the RR with the islamofascist terrorists. How better to marshal American support?
Godless, to whom was Ann thinking when she wrote the book?
...seemingly oblivious to their own fundamentalist doctrine that is terrorizing for real.

Ever wonder if there's something a bit subliminal going on with the title... , i.e., Godless<-->Goddess, but that's for another day, another thread.... ;)
Unfortunately, there's also a far-left Christian contingent. Think the World Council of Churches, leftist elements in the priesthoods of the Catholics and Episcopalians, and ditto in the convents.
These are the people who give the Clintons cover.
Kristinn use to live down the street from the Methodist Church as Bill and Hill walked out on Sunday with the Bible with big letters. It always was when Bill was in the biggest trouble.
Clinton, a Southern Baptist,
Uh, well, Bill, I'm not a Southern Baptist, but I'd wager most of them believe they possess an absolute Truth. Otherwise, why bother calling yourself a Southern Baptist? Part of the fence-straddling plan to get maximum popularity and votes? And you wanna talk about truth?

And the usual droning-when-not-screeching,11 midwestern-twanged-except-when-g-droppin'-preachin'-to-blacks-or-rubes 7 missus clinton was her usual arrogant, banal self, a familiar affect, which she invariably punctuates--just in case--with congruous and correspondingly condescending thematic attire. Gingham-cum-flag-pin is her standard rube/red-state garb. 8 Predictably, missus clinton donned a mandarin-collared shirt--no flag pin in sight--to pander to the Asian-infused, ultra-left-wing San Francisco set. But she forgot, apparently, to look in the mirror: The image on the screen was more Mao than mandarin 9. Yet some would argue, perversely, that the Mao look was, in fact, precisely what made her choice of attire absolutely perfect.

As you imply in the rest of your post, I think his thinking goes more like this:
'All of Us See Through the Glass Darkly' When properly misconstrued, the phrase at once captures and effectuates the clinton con perfectly, placing clinton conveniently beyond the reach of criticism, impeachment (figuratively speaking), and, most important, punishment. Notice the tenuous, self-serving logic here. Notice how clinton slyly implies that because we all see through a glass darkly, we are unable to see the truth (about him)--ever, all charges past, present and future (against him) are necessarily indeterminable and, therefore, false, and it is wrong, therefore, to bring any charge (against him), ever.* So, for example, while all the evidence and all the contemporaneous accounts of all the witnesses support the charge that bill clinton raped Juanita Broaddrick and that hillary clinton aided and abetted that rape, we must throw out all the evidence and all the witnesses and keep two rapists in the Oval Office. Excellent. * Lewis Caroll
It is wrong to demonize and cartoonize one another and ignore evidence and to make false charges and to bear false witness. Sometimes I think our friends on the other side have become the people of the Nine Commandments. It is wrong to bear false witness because we all see through [the] glass darkly.

'Through a glass darkly' is bill clinton's favorite biblical metaphor and his fixers' spin-of-last-resort.
THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS'
page 1, line 1
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!

BUMP!!
There's a method to his madness. He--they--are dangerous.
Sometimes, rarely, The Lord will tell a strong Believer if He doesn't want that person to pray for the concernerned individual any longer. There can be various reasons for that. And, some people can cross the line of no return--though I think it's usually harder than most think.
I think/feel that Shrillery has been so fiercely rebellious against God and devoted to satan for so long--that she has likely crossed that line.
Thanks, Thanks Thanks.
I don't succeed at 'guessing God's mind' on such matters very often. I think . . . anyway.
Certainly agree with the Scripture and God's patience. Otherwise I'd have been sunk many times.
I don't think He always does away with the person. Though sometimes I've prayed that he
1. Change them; Redeem them
2. Move them away from the situation and hurting others so much
and/or at HIS discretion and priorities . . .
3.take them out of this life.
Have been surprised how often He's done the latter within a few months to a year in a situation that had gone on maybe a decade or more.
I don't understand about His bothering so well with our prayers so much--other than His love and giving us a part in His majestic plan for our benefit . . . so magnanimously.
I do believe He takes some folks out prematurely to what they'd otherwise have had because He doesn't want them to rack up more punishment by staying around longer and doing more horrid things. And, I think our prayers can have a part in that sometimes.
Plenty of mysteries to learn about on the other side.
Endowed by their enablers.
Peddle your nonsense Bill.
Run Hillary Run!
