Joschka Fischer to Teach at Princeton
Der Spiegel ^ | June 17, 2006 | dsl/spiegel

Posted on 06/18/2006 1:58:03 AM PDT by Atlantic Bridge

Former German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer has accepted a teaching gig at Princeton. Starting this fall, he will teach international crisis diplomacy to the next generation of American elites.

The Bush administration didn't much like what Joschka Fischer had to say during the Iraq war. So what will Washington say now that the former German foreign minister is trading his parliament seat for a professor's cap at Princeton? This fall, Fischer will teach the next generation of American elites about international crisis diplomacy at the university.

Thank you America for feeding our political junk! We could save millions and bazillions if you could take over some more legacy of the red-green gouvernment. What about Claudia Roth of the Greens? I doubt that she can teach "internationonal crisis diplomacy" but she can give you for sure some first class whining lessons.

P.S.

The headlines of the newspaper shown above mean: From the school drop-out to the univercity professor.

Maybe I have to add that my post above is full ouf deep sarcasm. It could be misunderstood as anti-american. This is absolutely not the case. I just find it extremely funny that America is the place that took over Joschka Fischer.

School drop out, and also confidante and fellow-traveller of the Baader-Meinhof Gang.

It doesn't suprise me one bit. Yale admitted the Taliban spokesman. Harvard has someone equally as offensive on their staff. Cornell hired Cynthia McKinney when she was temporarily out of office.

Apparently the Ivy League universities are in a competition to see who can hire or admit the most offensive person. I wonder how those alumni donations are going?

fellow-traveller of the Baader-Meinhof Gang.

He was also a sympathiser of Arafat and the Black September. Beside of that he was a staunch America-hater. I wonder that he is allowed to enter your country.

Believe me, in the old days, this jamoke would not have been allowed to darken the doorstep of Ellis Island.

Really??! I did not know that. He was married 4 or 5 times with beautiful young girls, but it is really totally new to me that he is a night club devotee.

Besides I would not care if he has visited (we Europeans do not mess in the private lifes of our politicians), but I care about the damage he left in the trans-atlantic relationship. He was a political nightmare.

Fischer is not a fellow-traveller, but a dedicated communist.

I believe I have read that, yes.

It is interesting to do some Googling and find out what Ion Pacapa, the former head of the Romanian Secret Service has to say about Joschka Fischer and his association with the Revolutionärer Kampf, a terroist group financed through Pacepa's former service.

This Fischer is quite a creature.

I think it is extremely interesting that this photo can not be found on the internet anymore...

Seeing all the elites including the Bush wing all sleep in the same bed and attend the same organizational meetings whatever they would say would only be to deceive the inept.

I don't know much German but I do know French. Your post reminds me of a 1980s article I once read in French. It was essentially a conversation between Fischer and the French writer-philosopher Andre Glucksmann. In it Fischer regretted his lack of higher education and told Glucksmann that he was going to read the works of the great philosophers in alphabetical order. At the time of the interview he said he was reading Aristotle. Glucksmann laughed and moved on to another subject.
