It sounds that he just has a bunch of terrorist at his borders and he doesn't want to be hampered by a bunch of weak suicidal Europeans. I'd roll up the red carpet too and arm myself to the teeth if I had the border issues and internal conflicts of Russia.

We own that country anyway. How many trillions of dollars have we pumped into that wretched place to get them back on their feet? Our Government is going nuts trying to create another "superpower" with which to contend. Things were much more predictable when we had the big Russian Bear to be afraid of. They have tried to build up the European super-state to no-avail not to mention the poor horse farming Chinese in the hope that all of the rotten regimes in the world will fall in tow behind them just like they did with the Soviet Union. O well, back to the drawing board.

Ion Mihai Pacepa and Yuri Yarim-Agaev are marvels of understanding and accurate description. The Americans are not.
The most accurate but necessarily simplistic description of what is described here is "geopolitics" but that description is accurate only when one accepts the primacy of internal politics in the decision making process. As Tip O'Neal put it, "All politics is local."
To be blunt, our most important enemy is internal. Ann Coulter is one of our greatest assets. She is doing really excellent work. Now is Ann's time. It is not yet the time for the Marine Corps.

With one final and comprehensive effort, democracy can complete its work and destroy this house of marked cards. Yet until such an effort is made, this moribund communism, although it has no chance of being revitalized, will continue to spoil and destroy the lives of many people around the world for a long time to come.
Bump.
