And, for the following voting record, Rep. Cannon should pay and pay and pay:
Cannon's atrocious voting record:
Cannon's voting record also demonstrates an anti-sovereignty, pro-globalist agenda:
- Voted YES on implementing CAFTA, Central America Free Trade. (Jul 2005)
- Voted NO on withdrawing from the WTO. (Jun 2000)
- Voted YES on 'Fast Track' authority for trade agreements. (Sep 1998)
- Voted NO on deterring foreign arms transfers to China. (Jul 2005)
- Voted NO on keeping Cuba travel ban until political prisoners released. (Jul 2001)
- Voted YES on Most Favored Nation Trade Relations with China. (May 2000)

Dream on. Jacobs hypocrisy in giving illegal money to illegal aliens, the fact that he's been shown to be a Las Vegas gambler in a district that's overwhelmingly Mormon as well as his claims that the devil is out to get him all will bring Jacobs to a crashing defeat. Just ask Francis Busby in California who ran in the CD-50 special election what last minute dumb remarks do to you in a tightly contested race.

Are there any Freepers in southern Utah?
If so, they should offer their friends rides to the polls.

I'm sorry, I know immigration is THE issue, but when you're on the same side as Bay Buchanon, you're on shaky ground.
I hope the anti-illegal-immigrant movement isn't overrun by the isolationists. You can't put globalization back in the bottle, you have to deal with it, and free trade is the only rational endgame for a country like ours to play.
Not that I mind seeing a couple of pro-illegal incumbents go down.

Spiff you published this from another thread. I thought that I include it in your new thread. I added personal commentary at the end.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Feb 9, 2005
NCLR TO HONOR DEMOCRAT SENATOR CHRISTOPHER DODD, CONGRESSMAN CHRIS CANNON, AND THE LLANO GRANDE CENTER AT 2005 CAPITAL AWARDS GALA
Washington, DC The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., will hold its 2005 Capital Awards Dinner at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC on Tuesday, March 8. At this years annual gala, NCLR will honor Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) and Congressman Chris Cannon (R-UT) for their leadership on legislation that has had a significant impact on the Hispanic community, and the Llano Grande Center for Research and Development a community-based organization located in Elsa, Texas for providing education and youth leadership programs along the Texas-Mexico border.
Senator Dodd is one of the most loyal and committed supporters of the Latino community, said Janet Murguia, NCLR President and CEO. He has worked tirelessly to protect the civil rights of all Americans and has been a champion for early child education, leading the debate to expand the Head Start program and provide universal access to preschool.
Murguia continued, NCLR is also pleased to honor Representative Cannon, who, despite pressure from extremist anti-immigrant forces, has fought resolutely for comprehensive immigration reform. We commend Congressman Cannon especially for his work as chief House sponsor of the Dream Act. If passed, the Dream Act would open the doors to college for the children of undocumented immigrants many of whom have lived in the U.S. their entire lives, excelled, and even become honor roll students in their U.S. high schools.
NCLR will also present the Public Service Award to the Llano Grande Center for Research and Development for its success in building strong leaders in south Texas. NCLR is proud to highlight the amazing work of the Llano Grande Center, which has placed more than 50 students in Ivy League universities since 1993, said Murguia. Its outstanding programs are models for other immigrant communities throughout the country. Sonia Manzano, acclaimed for her work as Maria on Sesame Street, will serve as Master of Ceremonies at the gala event, and entertainment will include a performance by Latin Jazz All-Stars. Citigroup is the Chair sponsor for the event, and the Fannie Mae Foundation and Frito- Lay, Inc./PepsiCo Inc. are the Vice Chairs.
For tickets and table information, please contact Fernanda Tilleria at (800) 311-NCLR. Members of the media interested in attending should contact Alexandra Jost at (202) 785-1670.
My commentary:Knowing that Cannon is allied with La Raza, an extremist Hispanic organization which supports unrestricted illegal immigration, would you vote for him?

We launched a media campaign against Cannon that forced him to lie about his record, run ads against us, spend over a hundred thousand dollars of his own money, beg his corporate buddies for another couple hundred thousand, and use up a precious White House IOU by having the President hawk for him on a radio ad. Tom Tancredo stabbing another conservative in the back. He is a snake.
