If the President is polling well in this district, and Cannon was the guy who got the nod, this result isn't surprising in the least.
I do think it's probably very indicative of what we're going to see this fall.
Much to the confusion of our opponents on the other side of the aisle and the msm.

It's ALWAYS Bush's fault.

Cannon is toast anyway.I suspect that won't happen, since Jacob started acting like the Church Lady and blaming his problems on Satan.

"I wanted him to win but quite honestly his fast pass (whatever) for illegals was strange. That sounded nothing like Tancredo's position."
That's one of the oddities of this whole campaign. To begin with, Jacobs claimed he was on board with the Pence plan, which Tancredo claims is amnesty. bay buchanan and Tancredo were backing a totally different candidate; buchanan called Jacobs soft of immigration and Jacobs said Tancredo was an opportunist.
The candidate buchanan and Tancredo were backing didn't make the ballot, so they switched to Jacobs and suddenly his ideas weren't amnesty (even though he supports the Pence plan that they insist is amnesty).

Congrats to all the open borders freepers. Have a couple of enchiladas and some tequila to wash your victory down with. You definitely won this round. Viva Cannon.

Well I'll call the WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAMBULANCE for you, but meanwhile, if you are in Utah, maybe you should focus on keeping the Dems from winning this district as the VOTERS of Utah 3 have spoken.

But certainly not a resounding victory for a 5-term incumbent running against a political novice.
To: ruination
A double digit win over someone who poured in more then four times the money his last opponent did and was supported by an out-of-state PAC? That's pretty significant.
To: ruination
Sure it is. Look at the low turn out.
Voters were not energized to dump the incumbent.
