If I were to take a guess, and I honestly don't have a horse in the race, I'd say something like 55-45 Cannon...

I think you are right about these being absentee ballots. There seems to be no movement showing updated electronic votes yet.

That must be absentee numbers.. the polls are still open Carolyn you are in Arizona. Are you on Pacific or Mountain time.
The polls closed at 8:00 PM Mountain Time, which would be 7:00 Pacific.

Ya, maybe, plus I suspect absentee voters are a bit higher in socio economic class than same day voters overall, and on this issue, that cohort might be somewhat more pro Cannon. That is why I don't think absentee votes can be used to project anything. Plus, there don't seem to be many of them. It ain't California, where they can be a third of the vote these days.

I think the real conservatives vote really late.

1986 is not 2006, it's a whole different world.

That goes without saying.

As you said, scamnesty = RINO.
Reagan was a RINO.
To: Torie
Here in our area of Arizona, the absentee people are not always in sync with the total votes because so much is fluid right up til election day.

Thats strange I didnt realize that it was 8:30 when the polls closed. I wonder why they realize the numbers of the absenttes early

In the summer Arizona is on Pacific time, and in the Winter on Moutain time. Arizona doesn't do daylight savings. The daylight in the summer is a killer.

I am very hopeful about that.
That would have made for a great campaign slogan: "Real conservatives support John Jacob."
