2002 Document: Orders To Watch For Americans Burying WMD in The Western Desert (Translation)
Pentagon/FMSO website for Iraq Pre-war documents ^ | July 5 2006 | jveritas

Posted on 07/05/2006 7:28:40 AM PDT by jveritas

Document ISGQ-2003-0044 ISGQ-2003-00044390 390 contains a November/27/2002 Top Secret and Urgent memo from the Baath Party Command in Fallujah and in relation to another letter from the office of the Presidential Secretariat (Saddam Hussein Personal Secretary) and it is addressed to all the People Commands in the Anbar Province (The Western Desert) asking them to watch for Americans or Zionists (Israelis) forces that can potentially bury prohibited materials, WMD, in the Anbar province so it will frame Iraq and find an excuse to punish Iraq according to the memo.

The Anbar province which is the hot bed of the terrorists insurgency in Iraq has been always a suspect area where Saddam Regime could have potentially hidden and buried their WMD or the Precursors prohibited materials to make WMD. This memo may be nothing but a ploy by Saddam Regime so that if the UN inspectors (UMMOVIC) who have re-started their inspection missions in late November 2002 happen to find WMD in the Western Desert of Iraq, Saddam Regime would have blamed the US and its allies for burying it there.

Translation of page 3 of document ISGQ-2003-00044390 .

I think they are different. Is the Arab league ambassador to Britain an Iraqi?

holy anti-American "cause"

Speaking of.....have you heard the new Honda commercials with the spelling bee kid spelling "Environmentology?" Indeed! A made up word by Honda to describe their "environmental design principles" the commercial explains.

Sounds like the Cult/Church of Envirofascism to me.

Good catch. The more I read these documents, the more I am convinced that Saddam regime WMD or the Precursors to make WMD were buried in the Western Desert (The Anbar Province).

Hey jveritas,

Have you thought of going to Omar or Mohammed at "Iraq The Model" to see if they can track down the village, Al Subbayhat, mentioned in your other document?

"the village (Al Subbayhat) part of the district of Karma in Fallujah in a quarry region that was used by SamSung Korean company and close to the homes of some citizens."

Could this be taken (especially by the RATS) that Iraq didn't have prohibited material as of 11/24/02 ?

Not necessarily at all. In fact what I can take from this memo is that the Iraqi were trying to create a scenario so IF the UN inspectors find WMD or Precursors to WMD hidden in the western desert, Saddam regime can accuse the Americans of burying it there to frame Iraq.

"Sheesh - I can hear Howard the Dean saying this same thing now..."

So far Dean, the rest of the DIMocrats, and the MSM, have ignored the growing document translations and have played down announcements of the discovery of WMD. For any of them to claim legitimacy for this, or any similar document, to suit their ends opens themselves to having to accept the legitimacy of all the translated material. That's something they definitely don't want. If they jump on something like this then they're even dumber than I thought.

stylin19a,

To add to what jveritas just said, if you notice who the letter was sent to: " To: All The People Commands."

What this tells me is that an upper class group of the regime was indeed worried about WMD being found in the western desert area. In fact, jveritas has another document that discusses such an area.

Since everything was so compartmentalized, one group not knowing about the other, my guess is that if the inspectors found those buried WMD then this message has been sent out so that ALL departments are on the same page when telling the inspectors and reporters that the Americans put them there.

A bit of pre-programming the general Iraqi response if WMD were found.

Not sure if what I wrote makes sense.

True. But I meant that Dean or somebody might make the same argument, even if the document didn't exist.
It just sounds like the logic (?) he would use.

I'll buy that. BTW, I wasn't criticizing, just observing. And I won't hold my breath thinking Dean or any other DIM would be too smart not to get caught up in that conundrum. I don't put anything past them for stupidity.

Great job. I see that as a CYA memo. They know they buried them there and were preemptively making a case to deny, deny if such were found.

My recommendation to our guys would be to head out there right now and start digging around. Bet they uncover something.
