I agree 100%. The rise of the Internet provided the means by which people can bypass the sludge-filled information pipeline of the LSM. Between e-mail from troops who are o'er there and sites like FR, the truth can reach the people without being filtered and altered by our "friends" in the media.

You are so correct, Freeper Cindy.
If we Vietnam Vets had had the internet and Freerepublic.com to combat the TV Media lies about the Vietnam War being told to the American People daily,
...particularly by CBS News' WALTER CRONKITE & DAN RATHER,
...a once Free South Vietnam would still be Free today. It only took 40 years for Freerepublic.com to finally catch up to RATHER, but catch him we did ..thanks to Freepers buckhead & howlin.
But instead of Freedom's Victory in Vietnam, we are still left with:

And now the President of Communist Vietnam is pressing the President of a Free South Korea to xtradite Vietnamese-American Freedom fighter CHANH 'Tony' HUU NGUYEN of Garden Grove, California from South Korea to a very uncertain future in Vietnam.

Isn't FREEDOM the right to say "NO" to Communism..?
With Communist North Korean missiles now falling down all around to remind him of the above truth...
...the President of a Free South Korea could really use our respectful letters encouraging him to make the right choice for the Freedom of the one in this case..?
