I was recently shown a videotape of people reacting to radio talk shows. Organized by a firm that specializes in analyzing radio talk shows, the members of the listening panel were carefully chosen to represent all major listening groups within American society.
But I quickly noticed something odd I saw no blacks among the selected listeners. I asked why. And the response was stunning.
Blacks had always been included, I was told, but no more. Not because the firm was not interested in black listeners on the contrary, blacks are an important part of the radio audience. They were not invited to give their opinion about various radio shows because in its previous experience, the company had discovered that almost no whites would publicly differ with the opinions of the blacks on the panel. Therefore, once a black listener spoke, whites stopped saying what they really thought, if what they thought differed from what a black had said.
I believed that this was the reason not some racist animosity toward blacks since such companies are paid to give accurate reports on audience reactions to radio programs, and clearly their results would be skewed without input from black listeners. But I still needed to test this thesis. Do most whites really not publicly say what they believe, if what they believe differs from what a black believes even when the subject has absolutely nothing to do with race (i.e., reactions to a radio talk show discussing other subjects)?
So I posed to this question to my radio audience, and, sure enough, whites from around the country called in to say that they are afraid to differ with blacks lest they be labeled racist.

Sort of a self-fulfilling prophesy. If you're afraid to simply disagree, then maybe you damn well are racist.
Does this mean that being a conservative is wrong because you might offend someone?
Not surprised.
I just tell people that I don't care if they call me a racist or not, my argument still stands.
Don't you pay attention to the media or the NAACP?
Conservative = Republican = Hitler
It is also a bad idea to express an opinion about politics or world events or life in general if a woman is in earshot, if that woman is of a type that would complain about being made "uncomfortable" about your opinions

True equality will never be achieved, until a less than conscientious black person may be subjected to rebuke or disciplinary action on the same basis as a less than conscientious white person.
The race card will no longer be permitted to be used.
Unless, of course, the blacks are conservatives. White liberals don't seem to have any difficulty strongly (and publicly) disagreeing with the likes of Larry Elder and Walter Williams.
Remember when "common sense" used to be considered a good thing?
The so call "deconstructivists" have succeeded in convincing many people that there are no measurable differences in anybody and that everything and everybody is equivocal.
They would have you believe that Einstein is really no smarter than Elmer Fudd and Beethoven is no more creative or talented than Lawrence Welk or Courtney Love.
ROFL!!
"Does this mean that being a conservative is wrong because you might offend someone?"
Yep, you pretty much got it.
I do it to my friends and relatives all the time. Of course, they're "liberals".
PC is nothing more than a euphemism for fear.
Not only are most whites afraid to disagree with blacks, they're also afraid to openly, and without fear, discuss an article on why whites are afraid to disagree with blacks.
If you want to see lily White women attack, berate, and physically knock down a Black man, simply ask *any* Black man to stand up at a liberal PTA meeting and ask for school choice vouchers.
Teachers Unions trump PC behavior.
I enjoy telling them I'm an NRA member and that I drive an SUV, right after they're done ranting about tolerance.
I think it's just the opposite. Whites are so afraid of appearing "racist", they avoid confrontation/disagreement to escape the labelling.
So they hired a second black guy, who also did nothing for the next 6 months - but, they avoided any EEOC problems while going through their crucial silent period pre-IPO and in the first few months after the IPO.
