Bud Kennedy should know better than to profer that as the truth. Strayhorn needs an issue as the last polling I saw had her in last place among the four candidates. I'd like to see a more recent poll but it is still a ways out till lever pulling time. I don't see a narrow strip of road as being a major player in the election this fall.

I can't find it now but the poll I saw from last week had Bell way, way, way in last place with Kinky and name of the week pulling in the low 20s.

Not the same one I recall seeing but here's a SurveyUSA poll as of the end of June:

20% Bell (D)
21% Friedman (I)
35% Perry (R)
19% Strayhorn (I)
2% Other
3% Undecided

So you're right about Strayhorn and Bell is higher in this one than the one I saw (I think he was either 12 or 14%).
