You know, if this had happened in 1990 someone might care. Now they'll just be a bit annoyed over the 30 seconds they wasted trying to remember who these people are.. ;^)

Is this all the better they can do for a last grasp at some mention in the media? They are really pathetic.

Why does Mellencamp or any other performer think what they say
on politics is appropriate for their performance?

Quayle said through a publicist: ``Well, I think Mellencamp's performance was not very good to begin with, and the comment put it over the top.''

LOL!

"Mellencamp told the Harveys casino crowd, in effect, that it was dedicated to everyone hurt by policies of the current Bush administration."

Mellencamp doesn't have the brain cells to realize that he dedicated a song to the very same Taliban that banned his music in Afghanistan.

Liberals are idiots.

Mellencamp used to be pretty good. It's a shame he figures he's big enough now to alienate approximately half of his audience. The stupidity, from purely a business point of view, is stunning. I won't be buying anything more from him.

I agree. I started thinking he become goofy in his ways when he hitched wagons to that equally reprehensible Willie Nelson and the two of them formed Farm Aid.

He's reduced to playing casinos....soon he'll be down at the Holiday Inn by the interstate. And he'll think it's Bush's fault.

I don't know. The dude sang about pink houses and jack and jill going up the hill to catch a pail of water. I always thought his stuff was pure dreck.

I would have walked out as soon as he used the term "small town" 17 times in one song.
