I was also thinking about the internalization of Jerusalem under UN auspices. Obviously it will never happen, but the UN still holds on to the idea, that's the underlying reason nations moved their embassies out of Jerusalem. It's one of the prime reasons the Vatican delayed recognizing the State of Israel until the mid 90s. I'm sure the idea, and resentment, still rattles around some Vatican hallways.

I remember not too long ago, Christians and Jews had some feirce arguments on here about the "The Passion". During those arguments I also let it be known that despite those disagreements, this day would come.
I stand in full support of Israel and their right to defend their way of life and protect its citizens. Not due to some messianic Judeo-Christian belief...but because Israel stands for right and the terrorists stand for dehumanizing evil and wrong.
My thoughts are with the Israeli citizens and especially with the IDF as it prepares to go into Lebanon.
