Right, all we had to do was have falsified blackouts cause Davis to sign up for power at triple the value for many years to come.

Huh? I am sweating here in Simi Valley because of a 2 hour brownout that just ended. It's our second 2-hour brownout this week. The first one was 4:30 to 6:30 last Saturday, and now this one from 5:30 - 7:40 tonight. There was just enough juice to keep the lighbulbs dim but not enough to allow even a fan to make a breeze. It was 85 in the house but now it is down to 82.

Yeah, those long term contracts Dumbwad Davis should have signed 6 months prior when we'd have gotten electricity a hell of a lot cheaper. Thanks to Davis waiting for FERC to do his job for him, we're now locked in to FAR HIGHER electric prices than if he had acted sooner when prices were a lot lower. And the spot market prices have gone a lot lower since. So spare me this media swill that Davis did us some great favor. He continues to screw us everytime we pay our electric bills with rates higher than most any other state.

Brownout?? Does that mean you don't get the full line voltage? That would seem to be dangerous to equipment like refrigerators and your computer.

I can't seem to remember if things like a fridge's compressor is line voltage sensative but I wouldn't want to take a chance. AND if it screws your equipment up, there's no recourse from the power company.

I think it'd be safer to have a blackout.

Just curious how much your paying per kwh/hr... your total cost/kwh used. I'm paying $0.296/kwh. This includes an "energy cost adjustment" that essentially doubles my bill.

At my house and a few of my buddies the air conditioners run all day and it remains hot enough outside to make it a struggle to even keep the temperature at 80. But it isn't a heat wave in Oklahoma, its a fact of life that it is going to be miserable in July and August.

I'm glad to see someone else here recognizes this article for the piece of revisionist history garbage that it is.

Typical socialist claptrap from the ap.

Not sure. California Edison bills me by automatic debit from my bank acct. so I don't get a paper bill anymore and I don't know my online password to check my online statement. If you really want to know, I'll re-set my password and find out.

They just can't wait to vindicate a crumb like Davis. Anything to try to take away from Arnold to help Gray Davis Part II, Phil Angelides.

"And he has Davis to thank for that."

Holy Cow sometimes the press makes me laugh really really hard. They really think that we are so stupid.

Does anyone remember a man named Pete Wilson. The only thing that Grey Duffus did for CA is whore out the Governors office (kinda like the Lincoln bedroom, just without the sex), give us rolling blackouts, put us into a depression with a $38 billion in deficit, companies going out business by the hundreds (due to outrageous worker comp insurance)and business's moving out of state by the hundreds.

Other than that and no personality he wasn't to bad.

Davis went into the exact scenario that the electrical companies wanted him to enter...pay a higher fee for years to come. I wouldn't exactly say that the guy was smart or competent.

Angelides is just another Grey Duffus without a personality.

It has to get worse before it will ever get better. Rinold blew a golden opportunity for change in this state, I think by design. I'm voting for Angelides, Rinold is a walking time bomb running the state on bonds that are going to bankrupt the state eventually.

"it is true that fewer plants have been built under Schwarzenegger than while Davis was governor"

Let's us keep our focus on the facts of the matter, shall we?
