Roman underground works, for example under Constantinople, are still holding up the city and are can be explored with safety.
there are scores of such examples of ancient building & engineering.
Structures thousands of years old are still viable while modern construction can't even last through construction...Can you think of one single building/structure, for example, that will still have one stone standing in 100 years let alone last as long as the Roman Baths in Bath, UK?

I believe it did, but like all awards I am aware of, they were based on the plans rather than the execution. Any idiot can draw a line on a piece of paper and make it look good.

I miss Massachusetts geographical features. My parents have a place on Cape Cod and there is no coast like the Massachusetts coast. But man, I can't imagine tryint to raise kids there. (Financially and ideologically) In PA now--(The red part :)
