Jordan has normalized relations with the US and Israel. Syria supported and enabled the Z-man to perform the wedding bombings in Jordan. Syria despises Jordan because of their stability, and the fact that the pallies were expelled from Jordan. The US supplies training and material for the Jordanian military, and they have conducted joint exercises with the US.

Not good.
Syria rolling into the Golan heights is a major step to a world wide conflict. It would put pressure on the surrounding countries to "jump in".

Thanks for that information, something to add to my "I should have figured that out list".
So, would Syria think they have a better chance at Jordan than at Israel? I would assume that the Jordanians would be equipped pretty well.

So, would Syria think they have a better chance at Jordan than at Israel? They got their @ss handed to them last time (Syria). It is not about winning a decisive battle. It is all about avenging a perceived wrong and not being "humiliated" by the prosperity and peace in Jordan. These people think very differently than Americans and Europeans. They will attack Jordan and claim a great moral victory over the Hashemite Kingdom, while their people live in squalor. It is just the way it goes.....

The official stance, and this is the truth, is that the trucks passing through that the Israeli army is bombing, are trucks for humanitarian aid, carrying food, equipment, and donations that the Syrian people raised or aid from other countries that arrives through Syria.

They've had that same atmosphere since May 14, 1948. A leopard can't change its spots.

well put, i think you are right, how far north the IDF drives will determine whether Syria becomes part of the fight
