Symposium: Proving Saddam’s WMDs
Front Page Magazine ^ | 28 July 2006 | Jamie Glazov

Despite the antiwar Left's favorite mantra about how Bush lied regarding WMDs in Iraq, the evidence now proves there were WMDs after all.

According to recent announcement made by Senator Rick Santorum and Rep. Peter Hoekstra , approximately 500 weapons munitions, containing degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent, have been discovered in Iraq since 2003. Saddam, therefore, had the means to put WMDs into terrorists' hands.

So what is the primary significance of these revelations? And why are these developments not front page news in our media? Where are all of Bush's critics who called him a liar? Where are their apologies? And why isn't the administration using this information to legitimize itself?

To discuss these and other questions with us, Frontpage has assembled a distinguished panel. Our guests are:

Michael Ledeen, a resident scholar in the Freedom Chair at the American Enterprise Institute. An NRO contributing editor, he is most recently the author of The War Against the Terror Masters.

Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor and a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. He prosecuted the Blind Sheik and his organization for seditious conspiracy in 1995.

This was a short-range ballistic. Fitted with a warhead the missile was estimated to be in the permitted range.

Your map is totally misleading the Al-Samoud 2 could never reach any of the range rings that are marked on it.

The fact remains that Saddam's Iraq was in knowing violation of the cease fire agreement when it boosted it's "Al-Samoud 2" into a sanction busting missile.

In addition, this is about keeping our promise to defend Kuwait which was in range of the boosted, or non boosted version.

Kuwait was in range of the normal Al Samoud/Ababil. The Iraqi's were allowed to operate missiles up to a range of 150kms.

I have been saying going on two years that they would eventually find wmd and binary use compounds specifically stored in drums with associated pumps etc., for one use only, that being filling artillery and mortar rounds, etc., in special hold tanks etc., in the Tigris and Euphrates river. It only made sense with the close proximity to some of these military bases/bunkers to the river systems that they would have prepared areas to hide stuff. It is easier to find stuff buried in the ground that say some worker comes forward and points to then to put dozens of decicated frogmen teams into these river and creek systems and lakes to spend years mapping each cubic foot of water as to what it coatains.

A very good article, thanks for the ping.
Any info regarding WMD's, terrorist ties, and Oil-For-Food gets buried/misrepresented by the Has-Been-Media and the long term effect, I'm afraid, will be disastrous for our Country.
