Sen. Joe Lieberman stood in the parking lot of Mickey's Oceanic Grill chatting with exactly two people - one supporter and a stranger wearing a dirty tan raincoat with food speckling the left corner of his mouth.......the guy leaned in and asked Joe weirdly, "What color are your eyes?" Joe laughed - then rapidly got the hell away.....on the campaign trail Lieberman, after 18 years in the Senate, struggles to stay alive..... Democrats have abandoned him in droves because of his support for the war in Iraq.....
The cooling rain never arrives, and neither do the people. This forced the candidate to step inside Mickey's and try to persuade folks to look up from their lobster rolls. That's when this campaign stop started to resemble a wake.....people refused to look up.......
Things actually got worse up the road in Manchester.....campaign workers enthusiastically waving pro-Joe signs only seemed to make some commuters mad. .....a man fumed from his car. "How many more people have to die for oil?" And then, Lieberman melted down. "I didn't put my finger up in the wind to see which way it was blowing!"......He looked up, startled, as reporters took notes. "That was unplanned," he said apologetically. "That just came out of me."

Even with all his liberal baggage, he is better than any candidate that has a chance of winning in Connecticut. He should win as an independent and then become a Republican. Hell he is better than Chaffee
lieberman is a liberal in all things but Israel.
If he's mad now, just wait 'till there's no oil to run his car.

I'm probably opposite Joe 90% of the time, but I hate to see him treated like this.
A lot of people are extremely stupid. Here we have another ignorant jackarse saying the people dying for oil crap while it is over 3 bucks a gallon - and expected to go higher from BP closing down one of their fields in Alaska. And so much for Bill Clinton campaigning for someone. I swear, that guy is the kiss of death. The talking heads fall all over themselves saying what a great campaigner he is yet the only one he has ever gotten elected is himself!
LIEberman is a POS on everything except Israel and the war. he is WORSE than Chafee.
I think this is another act of new age affirmation "Journalism" a case of the author believing that if they keep saying something it will some how become true.

If Radical Ned replaces Joe Likeable, there could be a silver lining for Republicans. The DemoRats slide ever further to the fevered left, and there's a two year rocky horror picture show leading up to 2008, when a frightened electorate will frantically vote against them.
liar man has a 17% ACU rating. That is lower than any rino even chaffee, snow collins etc. Let him win as an indy and stay that way.
If he loses, watch liberal candidates everywhere overplay the anti-war card.
I doubt that throwing Lieberman overboard is going to go over well for the Dems among Jewish voters.
The anti-War card will play well in a Dem primary. I'm guessing it won't work quite as well in the general election.
It's an ugly thing, to see him treated so shabbily.
The last 15 years or so have seen an awful degeneration of politics- it's all so personal and petty now, at least what I see from the Left is.
I long for the days of Scoop Jackson and Pat Moynihan, who you might not always agree with, but you wouldn't mind having them for neighbors, either.

If he has any core principles they are long long gone.
