In his speech, Rep. Joe Schwarz (R-MI) pointed to his unwillingness to compromise his principles, when "pandering [to arch-conservatives] would have been easy."
Schwarz said that he and his team had "accomplished great things for the 7th district" and said he was disappointed that voter turnout was less" than he had hoped it would be.
He said that there were no excuses for his moderate supporters not having turned out, and that Walberg had won the election in areas dominated by "hard conservatives". The loss was, he said, the result of moderates failing to come out to vote.
He pointed to the trend of the party slipping further to the right, but said that there was always a tomorrow, and ended by congratulating Tim Walberg on having won tonight by turning out his voters.
((Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Blah...blah...blah...I got arse kicked by a Conservative who was supported by Club For Growth.
Blaming voters for not turning out is a sure sign of a loser.
Apparently that trend is discernable only to Mr. Schwartz.
Moderates are about as useful as another Clinton presidency as they stand for nothing.
Wots a RINO?
(and dont say a large endangered african mammal with tusks of hair :) )
Republican in name only.
Maybe there is anti-incumbant sentiment. Didn't three of five races yesterday throw the bums out? I expected it after 9/11. It has been a long time coming.
and maybe the people just want to get rid of the RINOs. time will tell
The reporter inserted this herself. It's clear media bias, for anyone paying attention. Why can't she just say "conservatives?
Brilliant. 2 of 3 were dems.
Definition - Moderate - One who really doesn't care about the results of elections?
A RINO, DINO and HINO each lost their primary election.
Republican In Name Only
Dimocrat In Name Only
Human In Name Only
Too son to declare a trend, iow. I'll give you that.
News Flash.......the party is not slipping further to the right, we have just stopped supporting politicians who are busy pandering to their butt-buddys on the left.
Ahh...thanks very much!
You are welcome!
Didn't this guy say there were no moral absolutes?
