Judge orders Internet sale, proceeds to benefit bomb victims.
In an order filed yesterday, U.S. District Court Judge Garland Burrell directed the U.S. Marshals Service to sell off the imprisoned Kaczynski's property, which includes "original writings," though not those containing "diagrams and 'recipes' for making bombs."
Burrell's order, a copy of which you'll find below, includes a creepy 12-page inventory of items to be auctioned.
Along with hundreds of books, bidders will be able to vie for the killer's hatchet, welding mask, blue scarf, three typewriters, and several hooded jackets.
A separate court filing estimates that Kaczynski's writings--which include several versions of his demented "Manifesto"--cover 40,000 handwritten notebook pages.
The material details his urges to kill, acts of vandalism, and includes a meticulous recitation of his 17-year bombing campaign.

Can I buy his cabin? I need more storage for my eBay purchases...
To: tubebender
I will not bid against you.
This should help keep the cost of the cabin lower.

Reminds me of the old limricks...
There once was a gal named Lewinsky
Who played on a flute like Stravinsky
'Twas "Hail to the Chief"
on this flute made of beef
that stole the front page from Kaczynski.
Said Bill Clinton to young Ms. Lewinsky
We don't want to leave clues like Kaczynski,
Since you look such a mess,
use the hem of your dress
And wipe that stuff off of your chinsky.

There's a good chance this guy committed the Zodiac killings in the SF Bay Area in the late sixties. He was teaching at Berkeley during that period. Google "Zodiac Unabomber" to see some interesting sites.
The Feds never followed up on this connection. There were some weird deals made with Kaczynski's plea bargain. Maybe some evidence in these items?
