This must be seen as an attempt to get Israel to respond to the rocket attacks. Any response has to be taken with great care lest it draw world opinion against Israel. The big picture is what is to be done to Syria and Iran. These countries have thus far, shown themselves to be the perpetrators. If Israel can be provoked in such a way as to look like the instigator, an unpredictable set of events could ensue. It could cause a galvanizing effect against Israel at a time when they need all the help they can get. And, it will be harder to go after Iran if Israel is cast as the reckless reactionary.
Speaking of which, I have wondered if the US shouldn't have Arabic and/ or Muslim flights and the rest of us flights. Then, the terrorists could blow themselves up.... no, I do not mean to say that all Arabs are terrorists, but from what I can tell, the reverse seems to be the case.
