Two college students from San Antonio were arrested Sunday night, accused of stealing explosive material from a construction site in north Bexar County.
Deputies say they caught one of the teens trying to break-in into a shed that had explosives.
The two teens already had a 50-pound bag of ammonia nitrate and some blasting caps before the deputies arrived. Deputies say the teens were trying to get to the dynamite when they arrived at the scene.
Agents from the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and the FBI have been called into the investigation. Deputies say this is the same explosive material used in the Oklahoma bombing.

The persistent use of "the teens" to describe college students does sound as if we're dealing with "yoots" here.
Lock them up and throw away the key.

Turns out the Britain wanted to let it play out longer, so as to bag the whole lot of them. Meanwhile, the US was losing it's mind; "Bust 'em NOW! Bust 'em NOW!" was the US message.
US authorities were extremely scared of letting it go along too long, and risk the damned thing actually coming off and getting folks killed.
Hey, we're entitled, as 9-11 had a high bodycount.

Cuz the high stakes of the UK/US airliner thing began to remind too many powerful people here of something that bureaucrats played too hard years ago, which ALSO DID have Middle-East connections:

But lo and behold, McVeigh inexplicably moved up the timetable on his own at the last minute, and the feds suddenly had a real tar-baby on their hands.
The people who could tell they'd been telling the feds about the evolving plot were suddenly liabilities to the federal government.
