Those warm-hearted, feeling, sensitive souls of the liberal media are at it again. In a cartoon that this morning's Los Angeles Times found fit for publication, Jeff Danziger indulges his fantasy of a group of police and military unleashing a fusillade at Ann Coulter. He even manages to work in a bit of catty sexism, suggesting that the object of his apparent hatred is a bottle blonde.
Let's play one of our favorite games: 'Imagine.' Imagine that a conservative columnist had drawn a cartoon depicting a liberal woman icon as the target of a hail of police and military bullets.
Enter our NewsBusters pool: how long would it be till NOW threw up a picket line and called for a boycott? How many self-righteously outraged editorials and op-eds would we have to endure? Sample line: "This despicable gesture amounts to an invitation to violence against women, debasing our nation's political conversation. It is further evidence, if such was needed, that for the right-wing, political differences can and should be resolved by resort to arms, etc."
Shall we hold our breath for MSM condemnation of the Danziger cartoon?
I don't mind cartoons attacking any viewpoint as long as they're actually funny. This one isn't and sure as heck isn't drawn very well.
As for the cops shooting, Ann has made more than one suggestion of violence aimed at her liberal targets.

I believe I've seen pictures of Ann as a child showing her with dark hair, or at least darker than it is now, but blonde hair photographs funny sometimes and looks darker than it is, so you might be right. That's not the point, though. The point is that this guy has some kind of hang-up about women. He insults women rather than challenging their ideas in a firm, well-defended, manly way. This shows cowardice, intellectual weakness, and a contemptible childishness. Emphasis on "contemptible."
Very interesting post history you have. You seem to have a liberal opinion on every subject, with a couple of fake-sounding anti-immigrant posts and some weird-sounding neutral ones about crabs, of all things, to try to make yourself look real. I guess we shouldn't be surprised if you make excuses for liberals threatening violence against conservatives.

Just as we know beyond a reasonable doubt that there are al Qaeda sleeper cells within the United States waiting for whatever orders they require to go "active", we should keep in mind that there are no doubt sleeper trolls (some nonsensical, some very serious) who are right here on FR and their purpose is to sow suspicion, discontent, distrust and confusion and to waste JimRob's bandwidth.
