Flanagan says profiling Muslims would make flying more secure

Seizing on the recent foiled terrorist plot to blow up airliners bound for the U.S. from England, Republican congressional candidate Mark Flanagan called for closer screening of Muslims at U.S. airports as a way of preventing future attacks.

And the Bradenton Republican went a step further, calling racial profiling "a tool of war," and grabbing international media attention in a race in which he's been largely outgunned -- Flanagan was featured on a Sunday morning Fox News show, and Arab news outlets, including Al-Jazeera, have picked up his comments.

Of course it would. They have a much greater statistical likelihood of committing terrorist acts than do any other group of people on the face of the Earth. It'd be stupid to treat a Baptist, or an American black in the same way as a Muslim.

I'm all for profiling Muslims, but how will this be done? I don't think religion is stated on passports (at least not on mine) and it would be self-stated anyway.

According to the Law of Moses, Jews are not supposed to. But Jewish people subscribe to varying levels of adherence.

It'd be an insult to Jewish people to force everyone to eat bacon.

It's better to have everyone who claims Muhammad and Allah to swear on the truth of their faith they would never hurt anyone to promote their faith or hurt another.

Not that I care too much about the vegetarians, cause they are mostly libs, but fine.

We'll just put a pig on every plane.

"I'm all for profiling Muslims, but how will this be done? Let's come up with some solutions to this!"

I have a solution. Open a private airline that will not accept any muslims. If they don't like it they could fly commerical or ride the camel. Which ever they prefer!
