WSJ calls for Armitage to fess up (he did);; excoriates the disloyalty of some of the Administration officials and calls on the President to pardon Libby.

To the best of my knowledge, Armitage has not yet "fessed up" to the public, only to other officials and those who investigated the case. The man needs to at least issue a press release or have a sit-down with a journalist.

If the story is true, Powell and Armitage are not only coward but also backstabber. Interestingly, the account of their involvement in the case comes from Corn-Isikoff, the duo who have tried hard to bring down the administration. We didn't believe their stories before, why should we do now?

Armitage has always been loyal only to Armitage. Do some searches on the name, I guarantee all kinds of stuff will pop up.

THis does not look good in Bush's case. Did he know what the hell was going on in his administration? Evidently not.

Armitage and Powell are now working as Foreign Policy Advisors for John McCain's 2008 Presidential campaign.

"At a minimum, there appears to be a serious question of disloyalty here. By keeping silent, Messrs. Powell and Armitage let the President take political heat for the case, while also letting Mr. Rove, Mr. Libby and other White House officials twist in the wind for more than two years. We also know that it was the folks in Mr. Powell's shop--including his former chief of staff Lawrence Wilkerson and intelligence officer Carl Ford Jr.--who did so much to trash John Bolton's nomination to be Ambassador to the U.N. in 2005. The State Department clique that Mr. Bush tolerated for so long did tremendous damage to his Administration."

AND FOR YOU JOHN MCCAIN FANS, THESE PEOPLE "Messrs. Powell and Armitage" ET AL HAVE JOINED HIS 2008 PRESIDENTAIL CAMPAIGN. ALSO, IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT SOME OF THESE PEOPLE TESTIFIED DURING THE SHAM "9/11 COMMISSION HEARINGS" AND THAT POWELL WAS ONE OF THE LEADING OPPONENTS TO FINISHING OFF SADDAM IN '91 ...RTO

Dumb question alert!

Is this from the WSJ editorial page? (or is this just online?)

Thanks!

I really like the last sentence of this article?

"Someday we hope Mr. Bush will tell us. Meantime, as he absorbs the partisan and ultimately trivial truth of this case, why shouldn't he pardon Mr. Libby and put the entire sorry saga to rest?"

"Fess Up. Mr. Armitage"?

B-B-But what will that do to Valerie "Natasha" Plame's book deal? Moose and Squirrel must be behind this!

Given Armitage/McCain liason. . .wondering what and when. . .McCain knew.

Totally pathetic such singularly self-serving, power-obsessed creeps, working on behalf of G.W.. A President who deserved so much better.

Fess Up. Mr. Armitage

Better yet, stop sourcing unnamed sources Mr. Novak and Ms. Miller. Unsourced reporting is either a lie or a manipulation.
