According to reports, al-Saedi has been talking and giving up valuable information in the two days since his capture. Maybe he is just thankful not to end up like Zarqawi. As a result of information gained from al-Saedi, joint forces have killed 11 militants of the second tier and nine of the lower tier of al-Qadea in Iraq.

Or, maybe the truth serum we use is particularly effective.

You know, after observing these idiots for the past few years, it strikes me that they lack another trait that we have (in addition to our honoring life, women, children, etc.) They lack the fundamental trait of loyalty to one-another that I would expect to see from people in their situations. Even our criminal street gangs understand the concept of being "loyal" to each other. Each time one of these jerks is caught it seems they start squealing like the pigs they are. They would give up their own mothers if they thought it would keep them from suffering. They define cowardice.

"These guys are not so brave when they think their time is up, hiding behind women and children. Pathetic!"

Bullies are ALWAYS cowards at heart. If ever faced with anywhere equal force, they always "fold".

I love these stories. It is the only reason deep down I hope bin laden is captured alive. I would love to see us special forces raiding his cave and have him on video kicking and screaming pleading for his life. Then have him after he gives up all kinds of juicy info.

There are a number of things that trouble me about this reportage. Why, after a mere two days would they announce his capture, if he's such a fountain of information? They couldn't possibly extract all that he knows in such a short period of time; much less arrange to capture or kill all of the people he informed on. Do you think that his cohorts would stick around, knowing that this guy is talking? What incentive does he have to tell the truth in any event? We know they can't torture him! Al Qaeda is a Sunni organization. Did they threaten him with a speedy trial in a Shia Court? As a committed Muslim doesn't he welcome death? I mean, why would he talk?
