The reason for this garbage is simple denial. If 9/11 was caused or allowed to happen by Bush, Cheney, et. al., then there is no real threat to us and all it would take to go back to the "glory days" of the Clinton presidency is to get rid of Bush. But if we ARE facing a genocidal terrorist threat - which we are - then we are facing a long and costly war that can't be avoided.

That, I believe, is the main explanation for these jackasses. Head in the sand. And of course others are trying to make money off it.

I haven't looked up the whole list, but Steve Jones IS a highly respected physicist--having researched and published the only "recognized by physicists" form of "Cold Fusion" (i.e. muon-moderated). Hard to believe that he would get involved in flakery like this.

I want to see one of these academics explain how a "controlled implosion" starts from the top of a building, since that is how the building fell. Also explain how months worth of explosives were set without being caught and structural, load bearing columns were cut and notched all while thousands and thousands of people worked in the buildings?
