Freedom is fading EVERYWHERE, it's not just a California thing. I live in Maryland and I'd say freedom is dead here. In Columbia they have laws governing the number of pets you can have (like in China except w/number of kids), what color your house has to be (which has to be approved by the neighborhood soviet--I mean, council), and laws that you can't have towels hanging on your back porch. Talk about watered-down communism--socialism--in action.

Who the Hell needs "Freedom", when they can be "safe", LOL?I do, for one, a dog on a leash isn't as likely to get hit by a bus as a free running stray, but I never found a collar to fit me right.
Ben Franklin saw this day coming.

NO - the bad news is the Governor will sign the bills on minimum wage and global warming. And his veto of single payer is scant comfort. The Democrats will be back at it next year and they will try and try and try again until they succeed.

What was with the cast of "Dobie Gillis?" Warren Beatty is as liberal as they come and Sheila is a rabid anti-male lesbian who thinks the government solves all problems.
Too bad we can't elect Dobie instead. And the Professor as his top advisor.
RIP, Maynard G. Krebs.

Glad the "gay textbook bill" was rightfully vetoed too.
