Crist's short list is rumored to include...Jacksonville state Rep. Jennifer Carroll, a former Navy lieutenant and African American.

If Jennifer is qualified to be Lt. Governor, SHE would be an awesome choice for the political ramifications. More evidence the Republican party is more diverse than the socialist Democrats.!

I did not vote for Crist in the primary, but he will have my support in the general...and he appears to be making the right moves in the 24 hours since his victory: from his gracious acceptance speech to this news.

I agree with you on that, too.

BTW, the Dem winner's acceptance speech was awful. He continued to blast his opponent -- even though the primary race was over. (And, I think that division may be part of what this Miami Herald headline article is referring to here.)
