The rest of the commission could have asked Gorelick, privately, and publicly if necessary,
to step down over her apparent involvement in facilitating the 9/11 attacks.

But people aren't appointed to those "independent" commissions to do the right thing, or find the real facts.

Heard one of those people, Kean may be, yesterday or today, whining that all of their recommendations haven't
been implemented.

Pretty arrogant to assume that they have the last word, or that their recommendations are [still] useful,
or may be they are implemented and the NYT hasn't found out about them yet.
