email from Webb for Senate on phonebanking (BARF ALERT)

Posted on 09/13/2006 7:25:02 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Dear friend,

Help us keep up our momentum -- contribute today!

We've got the momentum! While George Allen may have led this race at the start of summer, his lead has largely disappeared as we head into the final months of the campaign. The Mason-Dixon poll now shows us within the margin of error -- a 12-point swing since late July -- and the WSJ/Zogby poll shows Jim Webb in the lead!

At this point in the race, one thing is clear: as people get to know Jim Webb, they are rushing to support his leadership and authenticity; and as people get to know the real George Allen, they find him to be anything but authentic.

With the momentum on our side, it's critical that we mobilize our grassroots support to spread the word about Jim Webb. Please click here to sign up to volunteer -- or see below for a list of locations where you can get involved today!

Now is the time to get involved and make a difference, and our campaign is making it easy to do so no matter where you live. Our seven regional field offices are up and running, and our phone-from-home program is off to a raging start. We now have the capacity to contact, persuade and identify hundreds of thousands of voters.

A simple phone conversation can be one of the most effective ways to persuade and identify voters to support Jim Webb, and is a critical component of our grassroots-driven campaign for change. Can our volunteers complete 500,000 calls before the November election? I believe we can, but it's up to you. We need your help on the phones right away!

Listed below are the contacts for each of our regional field offices, with hours of operation and contact information. Please call, email, or just walk in to schedule yourself for a phone banking shift. Don't hesitate -- with less than 60 days until the election, now is the time for action!

Webb's "momentum" hit the wall this week with the flak they received over the Reagan ad and with the announcement of Benny Lambert endorsing Senator Allen.

It'll slam into the wall again today as the Allen campaign addresses Jim's "record."

Much of the brouhaha over the "macaca" incident was brought about in the blogosphere. The RAT bloggers have met their match and are being countered by some new entrants into the mix. We're not letting up the pressure, and they can't keep up.

No one is denying that August was a bad month for Senator Allen.

But the tide has turned again.

Webb's campaign is taking a rather creepy turn. So vitriolic. So implausible.
